Hi my name is Alicia. I am a stay home mommy of a 2 year old little boy, before this i was a Pre-school teacher for over 10 years working my way up to management in a licensed childcare center. I also taught our music, math, phonics and cooking programs that the center offered. I have over 100hrs of early childhood development and education and was also a trainer to the Childcare company i worked for. I am 1st Aid/C.P.R certified and have my D.P.S. fingerprint card. I provide quality childcare, working with every child that comes into my home. If you have any questions please feel free to ask.

*In the event that my son or I have a Dr. appointment I do have a back up care provider Name Kristen, that comes into my home the last hr or so that i am open.

Kristen is a a Full time college student at A.S.U. Who is one of the sweetest people i have ever met. She is a nanny to 2 families that love her and has worked with kids over the past 8 years. Kristen has also had a background check and provides a loving environment in the event that i have to step out.

Curriculum

I truly believe it's never to early to teach. I do curriculum with every child in my care. I do circle time daily where we read, sing and do flashcards. I also do math, science, art, writing, and when the weather allows we go outside.

Toddlers- Your toddler begins to explore the world in new ways. We do basic flash cards such as shapes and colors. Basic physical skills such as running, kicking and jumping. We do activities such as Play dough, finger painting, learning how to talk, photo cards, puppets, books and building with large lego's.

Pre-School/Kindergarten Prep- I do everything that will prepare your child for Kindergarten such as writing basic math skills, ABC recognition. We do daily writing activities like writing your child's name, and ABC's. Basic math such as sorting by characteristics, sizing objects and counting. In science we explore cause and effect, make predictions and learn about life cycles.
